전시소개 현직 디자인과 교수의 첫 개인전
2023년 11월 19일부터 12월 10일까지 기획초대전으로 지상현 개인전,
<형태유영>전이 개 최됩니다. 지상현 작가는 한성대학교 ICT 디자인학부,
뉴미디어광고·커뮤니케이션 디자인트 랙 교수로 재직하고 있으며 이번 전시에서는 아름다움을 둘러싼 작가의 독특하면서도 의미 있 는 조형적 탐구와 그
가시적인 결과라 할 수 있는 작업들을 선보입니다.
이 전시는 시각디자인, 지각/인지심리학을 전공, 현직 디자인과 교수의 화가로서의 첫 개인전 이라는 면에서 색다른 의미를 지닐 것입니다. 그런 면에서 이번 전시는 작가의 남다른 이력만큼이나 특별한 면모들을 가지고 있습니다. 전시의 주제나 작업 내용 면에서 특정한 이야기나 내러티브, 혹은 스토리텔링이 중심을 이루 기보다는 그 형식적인 측면이라 할 수 있는 조형적인 접근들, 이를 테면 형과 색, 질감, 구성 면에서의 작가의 다채로운 시도들을 통해 우리가 아름다움으로 받아들이는 감각, 인지 심리적 인 이유들에 대해서도 곰곰이 생각해볼 수 있는 그런 전시이기 때문입니다. 아울러 이러한 작가 특유의 관점을 꽃, 물고기, 토기 등과 같은 익숙하면서도 친근한 대상들 로 전하고 있어 충분히
감각적으로 다양한 정서들로 다가오며, 기존의 미술들과는 다른 색다른
발상이나 접근들로 이들 일상적인 사물들을 색다르고, 자세히 살펴보도록
함으로써 더욱 흥미로울 수 있는 전시이기도 합니다.
Exhibition The first solo exhibition as a practicing designer and professor.
From November 19th to December 10th, the solo exhibition "Formative Drift" by artist Ji Sang-hyun will be held as part of the planned invitation exhibition.
Ji Sang-hyun is a professor in the Department of ICT Design at Hansung University in Korea, specializing in New Media Advertising and Communication Design. In this exhibition, the artist showcases unique and meaningful explorations in form surrounding beauty, resulting in visually striking works.
This exhibition will have a unique significance as it is the artist's first solo exhibition. The artist is a professional in visual design, specializing in perception and cognitive psychology, and currently works as both an artist and a professor.
The exhibition reflects not only the artist's remarkable background but also presents distinctive aspects in terms of formal approaches, such as form, color, texture, and composition. Instead of revolving around specific narratives or storytelling, the exhibition focuses on the formal aspects of the artist's explorations, inviting viewers to contemplate the sensory and cognitive reasons for perceiving beauty.
